Leonard Conley Post — Serving Veterans, their families and communities

American Legion Family

Why join the American Legion?

The American Legion is a community oriented service organization. At Post 216 we pride ourselves on both veteran and community outreach. We would love to have you get involved!

If you are currently on active duty, serving the United States honorably, or have served honorably from Dec. 7, 1941 to the present, including the current war campaigns, you are eligible to become a member of The American Legion.

Thanks to the LEGION Act (Let Everyone Get Involved In Opportunities for National Service Act), Congress expanded the current eligibility period. Previously, there were seven declared war periods.

Now there are two, the current war period dating back to World War II and the original war era covering World War I.

Yearly membership dues are $50 as of 1 January 2025.

We are so sure you will love being a part of our organization that we cover the first year of dues for first time members! There is no risk to come and check us out!

If you are interested in joining Post 216 please contact us here or stop by and say hello!

We would love to get to know you, and help you get the process started.
